This is my 25th year of teaching and has proved to be quite a unique one because of Covid-19 and the changes education is undergoing in this time. I began teaching in a very traditional model and saw myself as a “dispenser of knowledge”. Over the years, along with new research and methods, I have altered my position to be more of a facilitator of student learning. I am a teacher because I believe everyone can learn and I can help them learn something they didn’t know before. Along the way, everyone will teach me something new too.
When I’m not teaching I enjoy reading science fiction, fiddling with computers and Android devices and petting my dogs. (Mango and Macy). I have an extensive collection of watches, and fragrances. I travel to Ukraine in the summers to teach English and have visited 14 summers.
