Studio Art 30

Students will create, research, plan and produce a portfolio of original work to demonstrate their own personal style.  Drawing, painting, 2 & 3 dimensional design and a variety of other mediums to express growth and discovery.  Emphasis will be placed on independent art expressions, exposure to their art community and preparing for a future that includes art. The foundational objectives includes integration of First nations and Metis content, gender equity, socio-political and environmental content.  Students will critique works in progress and refine them to develop their work to a polished piece for portfolio.  A student showcase will enable students to develop skills to curate and to prepare works for a public display.

* There is an opportunity to access studio time at the DLC for students who wish to connect with their teacher.
