My name is Carley Winhold. This is my first year of teaching and I am very excited about the challenge of starting my career as a distance teacher! This year I am teaching French Immersion grades K, 2-5, and 8.
I moved to Prince Albert in August after spending five years living in Regina attending the University of Regina, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Education, majoring in French and minoring in Visual Arts. My experience throughout my post-secondary education has primarily been in high school. My teaching experience is in grade 9 French Language Arts and grade 11 History.
I have a passion for language, history, and art, and love to spend time out in nature whenever possible. I recently took up quilting in my spare time and have made 2 quilts to date. I also enjoy reading (The Lord of the Rings is my favourite) and painting.
My favourite part of education is building connections with my students and watching them grow through learning. The best part is when a student “gets” a concept!
